What is it like to star in a Broadway musical?

~MEET MICHAEL JAMES SCOTT ~

Michael James Scott is an American actor and singer most known for his lead role on Broadway as the Genie in Disney's musical, Aladdin. He began acting when he was a child and later performed TV work, theatre shows, and even singing gigs. He got his BFA degree at The Conservatory of Theatre Arts program at Webster University in Missouri. Michael made his Broadway debut in the musical, All Shook Up, then took roles in several off-Broadway shows. His training extends back to the prestigious Broadway Theatre Project, where he attended as an apprentice for 4-years, two of which as an assistant. Michael originated the role of Genie in Disney's production of Aladdin in Australia and continued on tour in the states. He says every show is exciting, reminding him of when he was a little kid dreaming about being on stage. Acting for him is a joyful experience where he embodies the character and feels he is right where he belongs.
