Making connections is vital in the entertainment industry. Sometimes it's who you know that will open doors.
Over the years as an actor, and more recently, while at NYU, Jamir met many people in filmmaking and the performing arts. His summer plan was to work at an internship, attend meetups, go to events, and do programs to learn more and build his relationships in filmmaking.

Lexi's relatives, who live in Bavaria, Germany, invited her to visit over the summer to see the famous Oberammergau Passion Play.
The Passion Play is performed outdoors every 10 years since 1633 in the city of Oberammergau, Germany. It is world-renown for its costumes and music presentation. Lexi's cousins will be actors participating as villagers. She will get to witness the performance with front row seats and meet the actors backstage.

Practical Skills Internship
Living on-campus at AMDA in NY, Lexi decided to look for an internship near her school that would provide her with theatre district exposure, as well as giving her practical, real-world skills. She also wanted the flexibility to do evening acting, singing, and dancing programs and workshops. After submitting several applications, she got an interview with Amas Musical Theatre for an Administrative Intern position.
