Brookhaven Labs offers a highly competitive six-week educational program for high school students, 11th and 12 grades, interested in pursuing STEM learning and experiencing a real-world scientific community.

Space Radiation Lab
During this visit to Brookhaven National Labs (BNL), Dmitri and Natasha learned about the NASA Space Radiation Laboratory housed at their facility.
With astronauts spending more time in space venturing on travels far from earth, it is necessary to study the effects radiation may on them.
For this step, explore BNL NASA Space Radiation Lab section of their website and write an overview on the importance of the research will have on space travel.
