Omar Signs Up for a Summer Entrepreneurship Program

It was a successul high school year for Omar especially with the launch of one of his game apps. Still developing his SEEall Eyewear, he decided to do the Quarter Zero summer entrepreneurship virtual program. His vision is to create a start-up for his product in the real-world.

In this step:

  • Watch the QZ Start Up Camp video. Is this a program you might consider attending? Why?

To get precollege credit early, Omar schedules a summer immersion

program at Columbia University. This course will give him extra accredited, hands-on instruction and experience towards his path in entrepreneurship.

Launch A Business

Maddie's friend invited her to participate on her team in the LaunchX 5-week Virtual Summer Program.

 

After reading about LaunchX, she liked their ideas-to-execution rollout and how they supported their team of young entrepreneurs with developing actual startup companies.

 

Maddie's goal this summer is to develop and launch her business idea and then earn money for the rest of the summer!

 Hosting a Popup Bakery

Maddie has been a Foodpreneur since middle school earning money for local charities and adding savings for her bakery biz. This summer, she plans to host a Popup Bakery at festivals, farmer's markets, and local events. Seven popup bakery success tips:

  1. Simple yet attractive display

  2. Variety of goods, but not too much

  3. Early preparation, less stress

  4. Nice packaging matters

  5. Promote your Popup in advance

  6. Offer a choice of payment options

  7. Good backup help is a must!
